Getting started
Your first order.
One step at a time.
Everything you need before your first service, in one place.
Getting started
From nothing to your first order.
Five steps, and you can stop after any of them and pick it up later — nothing here has to be done in one sitting.
-
Step 1
Create your account 📝
Your name, your email, your business — on the web, in a couple of minutes, with no card. The shop itself gets created on the tablet in step 3, so you only type it once.
-
Step 2
Install OrderLah on your Android tablet 📱
The main device is an Android tablet running Android 7.0 or newer. Screen size is up to you — the counter lays itself out from the room it is given rather than from a list of blessed devices. Your account page carries the install link when there is one for your shop, and says so plainly when there is not, rather than sending you off looking.
-
Step 3
Connect your tablet and start your 14 days 🔓
Sign in on the tablet, set up the outlet, and activate. That activation is what starts the trial — not the day you signed up — so a tablet that arrives a week late costs you none of your fourteen days.
-
Step 4
Add your menu 🍜
Dishes, prices, variants and add-ons. Type them in, or bring them over in a spreadsheet if you already have one. You can open with ten items and add the rest between rushes.
-
Step 5
Send a test order, then open 🎉
Scan your own QR, order something, and watch it land on the tablet with the ding. When that works, print the stickers and you are trading.
Before you sign up, the honest list 📋
- You need an Android tablet — Android 7.0 or newer. That tablet is the hub: it holds the shop.
- Your customers install nothing. They scan a QR and order in the browser their phone already has.
- Everything in the shop runs on your own Wi-Fi. The tablet, the kitchen screen, the counter and the waiter's phone talk to each other directly.
- Internet is needed three times: creating the account, activating the trial, and buying a licence. Day to day the shop keeps taking orders with the internet down.
- No card for the trial. Nothing to cancel — if you do nothing at the end, it simply stops being a trial.
- The 14 days start when you activate on your tablet — not when you sign up.
- Afterwards it is one licence per outlet. What that costs is on the pricing page, in your own currency, read straight from the price list checkout charges from.
