Payments

Paid your way.
Recorded properly.

OrderLah records how every order was paid and closes the day against it. The money goes straight from your customer to you, through the cash drawer, QR and terminal you already use — OrderLah takes no percentage.

At the till

What the till records

Cash, with the change worked out

Enter what the customer handed over and the till shows the change. Cash rounding to five cents is a setting for each outlet, so the payable total on the customer's phone matches the counter.

Your own payment QR

Upload your shop's PayNow QR in Singapore, or DuitNow or Touch 'n Go in Malaysia, and it is shown on the counter screen or the customer's own phone. Staff confirm the payment arrived; nothing infers it from the customer saying so.

A card terminal, recorded

Take the card on your own bank's terminal and record it at the till with the card type and the terminal's reference. Switched on in settings when your shop takes cards.

Pay first, then cook

An order that has to be paid at the counter is held off the kitchen until staff confirm the payment, so nothing is cooked for an order nobody paid for.

Refunds, written down

A refunded order is cancelled with the refund recorded against it, and the day's figures follow. What was changed, and by whom, is kept in a log on the tablet.

Daily closing

Close the day with a cash count against what the till expected, split by how people paid. A difference is shown, not hidden, and the closing record is kept.

Not built: split bills and part-payments. The split sheet works out each person's share; the bill itself is still settled in one payment.

Where each part stands

Online checkout, terminals and e-invoices

Taking a card or wallet payment on the customer's phone is built, through your own HitPay, Fiuu or Stripe account, and it is not offered to merchants until a provider's sandbox run is complete. A payment that has to reach a provider needs the internet; everything recorded at the till does not.

  • Recording how people paid

    Built and tested

Cash, your own PayNow, DuitNow or Touch 'n Go QR confirmed by staff, a card terminal recorded with its reference, and refunds of a whole order. OrderLah records the payment; the money goes to you.

  • Pay first, then cook

    Built and tested

An order that has to be paid at the counter first is held off the kitchen until staff confirm the payment.

  • Payment exceptions

    Built and tested

A payment that does not match its order is listed for a person to settle, rather than guessed.

  • Online card and wallet checkout

    Built · not offered yet

Checkout on the customer's phone through HitPay, Fiuu or Stripe, with your own provider account. Built and contract-tested; no provider's sandbox run is complete, so it is not offered yet.

  • Integrated card terminals

    Built · hardware checks pending

Sending the amount to a card terminal over the network. Built against a simulated terminal; no physical terminal has been driven.

  • Tap to Pay on a staff phone

    Built · not offered yet

Taking a card on a staff phone through the HitPay app. Built; never run against a HitPay sandbox.

  • Malaysia e-Invoice (MyInvois)

    Partly built

Preparing e-invoices for Malaysia's MyInvois. Sending them to MyInvois does not work yet.

No commission, no middleman

OrderLah is paid for a licence per outlet, and nothing else. It takes no percentage of any payment, holds none of your takings, and keeps no card of your customers'. Provider checkout is built to run on your own provider account, so the provider would pay out to you directly.
